Crime Stoppers

One of the many programs that the Mission Police Department embodies itself with is the Mission Crime Stopper Program. The program is lead by Investigator Romeo Ortega and his assistant. Inv. Ortega has over 20 years of law enforcement experience and is committed toward the betterment and safety of the community.

This program has been an effective tool in solving a number of crimes in our community. The program consist of having a 24 hour a day telephone line which is available to the public who want to report suspicious / criminal activity at any hour of the day. The caller does not have to identify themselves when providing information on this line. If the information provided leads to the arrest and grand jury indictment of any person or persons involved in a reported crime, the caller will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00 dollars. The public can rest assure that all calls are kept confidential and they will not have to testify in court.

The Mission Police Department strongly believes in getting the community involved in our everyday activities. Programs such as the Neighborhood Crime Watch help educate our citizens, preventing them from becoming victims of a crime.
